Recycling and waste management for Kettering and Corby businesses

Kettering and Corby have grown into one of the Midlands’ main warehousing and manufacturing areas along the A14 and A43. Corby’s industrial estates, including Earlstrees and Willowbrook, and Kettering’s business parks produce large volumes of cardboard, stretch wrap, film and rigid plastic.

Acorn Recyclers collects from sites across both towns and recycles everything at our own yard at Wymeswold in Leicestershire. There’s no broker in the middle, so we can pay rebates on clean, separated material and give you a clear picture of what your waste is worth.

What we collect in Kettering and Corby

  • Cardboard from warehouses, manufacturing and retail
  • Stretch wrap, shrink wrap and polythene film
  • Plastic pallets, crates, trays and drums
  • Paper, office waste and print waste
  • Confidential paper for secure shredding

Collections that fit your site

We run curtain-side rigid lorries, articulated trailers and RORO skips. Busy warehouses can have a baler or compactor on hire so cardboard and film are baled on site, which cuts the number of collections and raises the rebate.

Turn packaging waste into income

If you’re paying a general waste contractor to take away cardboard and film, you may be throwing money away. Separating cardboard, plastics and paper and baling them can turn a cost into a rebate. Start with a free waste audit.

Kettering and Corby recycling FAQs

Do you collect from both Kettering and Corby?

Yes, along with Wellingborough, Rushden, Desborough and the rest of north Northamptonshire. See our Northamptonshire page for the wider area.

Is there a minimum quantity?

Collections in Kettering and Corby are arranged around what your site produces. Baled material, or a full skip or trailer, gives the best price per tonne. For sites outside the East Midlands, loads generally need to be around 5 tonnes or more.

Do you pay for cardboard and plastic?

We pay rebates on good, clean, separated grades. The rate depends on the material, quantity and market prices at the time, and we confirm it before we collect.

Do you collect general waste or single wheelie bins?

No. We don’t run refuse vehicles, so we can’t empty general waste bins or collect single bags. We focus on recyclable materials collected by skip, rigid lorry or trailer. We can also take confidential paper for secure shredding.
