With over 50 years in the industry, we handle the collection, sorting, baling and onward reprocessing of the material your business produces.

Every arrangement starts the same way. An Acorn representative visits your site, looks at what you are actually throwing away, and gives you an honest assessment of what is recoverable and what it is worth. From there we build a plan around your volumes, your space and your collection patterns rather than fitting you into a standard package.

How we work

Most businesses we visit are paying to dispose of material that has value. Cardboard, film, rigid plastics and paper routinely end up in general waste because segregating them is inconvenient, not because it is impossible. Our job is to make the recoverable stream easy enough that your staff actually use it.

In practice that means the right containers in the right places, a collection frequency that matches how quickly you fill, and, where volumes justify it, baling on your own site. We hire and sell balers and handling equipment, and we will tell you plainly when your volumes do not warrant one.

Compliance and paperwork

Alongside collections we handle the duty of care documentation and waste transfer paperwork you need to evidence where your waste went. Our legislation and compliance lists our registrations, so you can check them for your own records.
